Research Experience
- Project Assistant, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER-TVM) in the Max Planck partner group on Gravitation, under Dr. Archana Pai. Worked on Parameter estimation in gravitational wave astronomy.
- Visiting student Programme (VSP) at Raman Research Institute, (RRI) Bangalore during Dec 2014-June 2015, with Professor Avinash A Deshpande. Worked on the modelling of the radio nebula around the Vela pulsar.
- ATSOA (Aries Training School of Observational Astronomy) 2015 at the Aryabhatta Research Institute for Observational Sciences (ARIES), Nainital during 2-14th March 2015. Worked on a short project on Polarimetry of the star HD236633 using the AIMPOL (Aries Imaging Polarimeter) and basic photometry using a software called IRAF.
- PSSI (Plasma Science Society of India) fellow at Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, from Aug-Nov 2014. Worked on “Numerical Investigations of the forced Kadomtsev Petviashvili (fKP) equation and the forced Korteweg de Vries (fKDV) equation ” with Prof. P. Bandyopadhyay and Prof. Abhijit Sen.
- Summer School Programme (SSP 2013) organised by Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar. Worked on a project titled, “Analytical Formulation of Liquid metal Flow Profile under Transverse Magnetic Fields” under the supervision of Dr. R. P. Bhattacharyay and Srikant Sahu, Institute for Plasma Research, Bhat, Gandhinagar.
- MSc (Masters’ degree) thesis/final project, worked on Accretion onto Compact Objects. My project was titled ‘A study of Bondi Accretion Flow’, under the supervision of Dr. Suparna Roychowdhury, St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
- BSc (Bachelor’s degree) thesis/project, worked on the ‘Aspects of Measurement of the Dielectric constant of sand in the laboratory’ with Dr. Subhankar Ghosh.
